Want to experience the beauty of Palo Duro Canyon in the cool of the morning? Then we've got you covered! The colors of the canyon are illuminated by the sun's early presence on the canyon walls, and the cool temperatures are also delightful. AND, the early morning is also your best chance to see some of the wildlife that call the canyon home! Know Before You Book - Children must be 6 years or older - You must weigh less than 225 lbs - No horseback riding experience required - You must check-in 30 minutes early. State Park opens at 7 AM. Be Prepared! Summer is a fun and exciting time of year in the canyon, but does require some preparation. We highly recommend that you - Wearing jeans/long pants and a ball cap - Using sunscreen and bug repellent - Bringing water, stay hydrated! We have saddle bags to carry bottles, or you may bring a camelbak.

Cancellation Policy

To receive a refund cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance of your reservation. In the event that we may cancel due to weather conditions, you will receive a refund. Refunds are not available to those who do not comply with rider restrictions, and/or do not arrive 30 minutes early to check-in. If you accidentally book the wrong date/time you must contact us at minimum 24 hours prior to your reservation to fix this. We have no way of knowing if you booked the wrong date/time, so please be sure your reservation is correct. Refunds are not issued for booking errors unless we are notified well in advance of when you are wanting to ride.
